Volkswagen Ipod Interface Kit - 1K0 051 444

I recently came across this kit on a German website and have made enquiries with UK based VW/Skoda dealers who tell me that this product is now available in the UK at a cost of £99 Inc VAT. As far as I know it is manufactured by Denison and is similar to the Icelink, however I don't think it contains a cradle, it looks more like it is intended to fit into the glovebox or centre console storage. Currently details are a bit sketchy and are translated from German, as I get more info on the Skoda version I will modify the page. I don't think this works with the IPOD Shuffle.

The Skoda part number for the ISO version is ZGB 000051 853 and the Quadlock is ZGB 000051 852 - Ice>Link ISO Ipod Connector RRP £99 Inc VAT

The Interface Kit Will Provide The Following Functions -

Start/Stop At Selection And Deselection Of Cd Changer Source

Next Track/Previous Track/Fast Forward/Rewind/Random/Repeat/Scan (if Audio Unit Supports)

Direct Access To The First 5 Tracks

Volume Adjustment

Fitting of this kit would mean the loss of use of a factory fitted CD Changer if you have one installed.

The IPOD can be controlled by the Skoda headunit by using the CD controls

The kit is supplied with two interface leads. This one is for the newer 12 pin Quadlock connector found in the Octavia Mk II

 

This one is the Mini ISO connector found in the Octavia Mk I
